October 2nd Round-Up!

What a gorgeous couple!
This is our very own Debby from A Feast for the Eyes who spent last weekend at the Harvest Festival in Carmel, California where she ate wonderful food, drank, watched demonstrations and, oh yeah, snuggled up with this guy!
Yes, Debby got to cuddle up with Tyler not once but twice last weekend, you can read all about it here for day one and here for day two, on her blog.
(Do you think she gave him a kiss for each of us?)

Ahem, let's see what's cooking (besides Debby!)...

Chaya of Chaya's Comfy Cook blog made Tyler's Sweet Potato Puree with Bananas and Buttered Pecans.
"I tasted this even though I still have to bake it with all the ingredients brought together. It is a great recipe. Those pecans on top with the salt and brown sugar – wow!…… The banana adds a subtle flavor to the sweet potatoes, a good one. I want to make this again and again. Hats off to Tyler."

Deb of Kahakai Kitchen made Tyler's Pan-Roasted Halibut with Prosciutto, Lemon, White Wine and Capers subbing in Swordfish as it is local to Hawaii.
"Delicious--a great combination of some of my favorite flavors and ingredients. The shutome worked really well, it was fresh and stayed very moist and tender."

"Tyler certainly knows what he is doing with this recipe. Maybe it's his inclusion of diced tomatoes. And my favorite winter herb trilogy (bay leaves, rosemary, and thyme). Or maybe it's just because he's a genius. Either way, even if you think you don't like pot roast. You probably just mean you don't like any pot roast other than this one."

"These little open-faced sandwiches are delicious. So delicious that I ate four of them!
The Brie cheese totally puts this over the top! "
.
Libby of Cooking with Libby made Tyler's Potato Salad.
"We served this with some left over Beer Braised BBQ Pulled Pork that I had froze back in the beginning of August. It was the perfect combination :) We are definitely keeping this recipe in our favorites! Tyler definitely rocks!!"

Michelle of Big Black Dogs made Tyler's Chicken with Apple Cider Sauce served over a bed of lightly Sauteed Fresh Apples.
"This simple dish was absolutely outstanding! When I had finished my Chicken with Cider Sauce I wanted more, so I'm thinking we might have it again for tomorrow's dinner."

"This was fantastic! The ribs were falling-off-the-bone tender and we loved the layers of flavor in the sauce. If you make this, do not skip the gremolata! It has a nice balance of sweet and savory ingredients and its freshness is the perfect complement to the warm richness of the sauce. Overall, these ribs tasted like more work than they really were. The modest investment of time in babysitting the pot paid off big dividends in the finished dish."

"I suggest you to eat the mozzarella bites when they are hot they are so good !! Tyler fries other items too but I didn't have them on hand !"
"As for the pasta I used zucchini and pumpkin we don't get summer squash in Italy and I really can't understand why, when I lived in Santa Barbara I ate them quite often , I should get some seeds and plant them !!"
.
"Today I was heating up my kitchen with Tyler!This recipe for his Ultimate Mac & Cheese is the best. As this being my first recipe submission toTyler Florence Fridays, I couldn't have picked a more delicious recipe. You can view this recipe and others at Food network.com"

"I had this simple yet elegant one pan meal waiting for my chilly commuter when he came home the other night, delish!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are now into our final month of a year of cooking Tyler's recipes. What great fun we have had. I can't believe we have been cooking together so long!
Our last round-up will be on October 30th. Still lots of time to cook up some great Tyler Florence dishes!
Thanks for getting mine on. The holidays only have one more week to go and I will be more responsible.
This week is really special for me since it has a few of Tyler's chicken recipes. I have wanted to make these and just not got to it. Seeing them here has inspired me to move on and get that chicken cookin'.
All this week's recipes look great.
